Data protection

What customs cannot do

The customs administration cannot substitute legal advice from lawyers or tax consultants, neither can it influence official decisions of other authorities.

Information by the Customs Information Centre does not establish any legal claims and is only applicable to the customs provisions currently valid in Germany.

The German customs administration does not have other countries’ customs provisions available.

German customs do not use tracking numbers for reference. Therefore, we cannot provide information based on them. Please ask the transporting company for the exact customs office involved and for a reference of customs (e.g. an AT number or MRN). You could then contact the customs office.
