In these cases you really must act fast.
After the customs have detained goods, it is possible to submit an application in what is known as the “ex-officio” procedure. The customs can detain goods for four working days even without an application having been granted, but your application must have been properly submitted to the custom’s ZGR unit within this period if the goods are to be detained for any longer.
In this specific case there would be no need to give any information about the authentic goods, or information about a risk analysis, when submitting the application, and its provisional granting is restricted solely to the consignment in question.
However, if you submit information about the goods and the associated risks within ten days, the application can be granted for a longer period.
